Hercuvan’s Gradient Touch Thermal Cycler was used in the detection of pathogens on the brown dog tick, Rhipicephalus sanguineus sensu lato in the Philippines. Gene markers were detected by conventional PCR on DNA extracted from 52 tick samples.
